Lentz is a second Lieutenant of the Black Knights.
Appearance[]
Lentz is a large man with a big build, blonde hair that is tied in a ponytail with a purple ribbon, thin eyebrows, and a clef chin.
Lentz wears a grey military uniform, a brown trim in the center and green surrounding it and around his forearms, brown shorts over black pants, and brown knee length boots.
Personality[]
He is extremely loyal to their cause, willing to commit even the most dishounrable acts in their name (unlike his counterpart, second Lieutenant Schneider). He is very bigoted and looks down upon Japanese, often referring to them as monkeys.
Relationships[]
- Meldars: Melders is Lentz commanding officer.
- Schnieder: Lentz is Schnieder's fellow officer. Lentz has show to care about Schnieder since he didn't want Schieder to die when Schnieder decide to defend Misanagi.
- Misanagi: Lentz worked with Misanagi to find the Divine Elixir, but was fully willing to betray her when they completed their goal.
Abilities[]
He is very skilled and powerful though, as he is able to break through a hold set on him by a former high-ranking member of the Sanada Ninja clan, named Kaita and leave him badly injured afterwards (although he is later saved by Tsukayama Yutarō's medical expertise).
History[]
Black Knights Arc[]
In Germany, Lentz, along with Melders and Schneider, attack Han's home, but find that Hans has left, with the information that they were looking for.
Later, Lentz arrives in Japan and manages to take over the Germany's embassy with Melder and Schnieder. The three manages to find out were Hans was staying, but find out that the information they were looking for is not there. They decide to asks Hans directly and manage to find him. They manages to obtain the information they were looking for, which Lentz was able to kill Yutaro but Kenshin interfers. As the others also arrive, Lentz and his comrades leave. Later, the three celebrate for obtaining the information of the Divine Elixir, when they are confronted by Misanagi. After Misanagi explains everything, the three decide to join forces to find the Divine Elixir.
Days later, Lentz, Schnieder, and Melders, attack some of the Sanada's ninja, when they has attacked Kenshin's group and disagrees with trying to obtain the Divine Elixir. Lentz faces off against Kenta and manages to throw him off a cliff. Days later, Lentz and the others follow Kenshin's group, while they follow the path to the Divine Elixir. After Kenshin's group find the entrance to where the Elixir is but fall down a hole, Lentz and his comrades follow the path at the entrance.
They manage to find the location of the Divine Elixir, but under orders from First Lieutenant Meldars he surprise attacks Misanagi, and inflicts a deep shoulder cut on her, despite the fact that she was helping the Black Knights locate the Divine Elixir. However, Schneider rescues Misanagi and breaks Lentz' battle axe with his sword. Schneider is then forced to deal with Meldars, but proves no match for him.
Afterwards, as Himura Kenshin and his crew arrive, Lentz battles Myōjin Yahiko and Yutaro and easily defeats them. Kaita rescues the two children and easily defeats Lentz this time around breaking his sword in two using a Wakizashi (small Japanese blade), despite being unable to use his right arm as a result of Lentz' assault on him in their first battle. Kaita saves Lentz' life after rendering him unconscious.
After the battle, Schneider and Lentz both turn themselves in to the Germany embassy in Japan.
