The Other Objective is the ninety-eighth chapter of the Rurouni Kenshin manga.
Synopsis[]
Now that Kenshin is finally reunited with Saitō and Sanosuke, they all try to figure out Shishio's plan, and they come to the conclusion that he must have something else under his sleeve. They realize that Shishio must be departing to Tokyo via a ship, so they rush to the Osaka port trying to ambush him. What is really behind the plot of the Great Kyōto Fire? Can they arrive to the Osaka port on time?

In the live action movies, the Rengoku departure subplot happens in Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno and Kenshin learning the Amakakeru Ryū no Hirameki happens in Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends.
