Captain Eibin Tamono is a character in the Rurouni Kenshin: Requiem for the Ishin Patriots movie.
Appearance[]
Eibin is a young man with dark brown hair that is brushed back and small strands hanging in the front, thin eyebrows, and large sideburns.
Personality[]
Eibin is an ambitious man and will do anything to acquire a higher position. Eibin is willing to ally with his enemies to create a situation that will give him glory, but is willing to betray them to cover his track.

He is a member of the Yokohama police force with the ambition to be the next Secretary of State by setting up the Chief of Police, Yamagata Aritomo. He is a ruthless man who is not afraid to shed a lot of blood for his cause and that nobility in battle is unsuited to modern times. He secretly collaborates with Sadashirō Kajiki Kajiki to destroy Shigure's rebellion from within and disgrace Yamagata. However due to Himura Kenshin's intervention, Tamano takes matter into his hands by order a firing squad on all present on the scene leading to Shigure's death in protecting Toki (and to silence Kajiki to cover his ties). But the plot was foiled after defeated by an enraged Kenshin (as he reversed his Sakabatou at the last minute Kaoru called out) and was subsequently arrested by Aritomo (due to Saito's uncovering of the weapon smuggling from the army).
